I would suggest the real question is: “Who in the first world is ready to reduce their energy consumption by 50%?” The next obvious question then would be: “What would an economy look like if energy costs were that high?”

Renewable are ready? Cost are the same ? What a fairy tale.
Renewable are WAY more expensice that fossils fuels, and can’t compete even with heavy subsidies form our pockets.
Who on earth is ready to get his energy bill mutiliplied by 10?
